The strategy-to-execution gap is usually structural

Organizations rarely need another statement that execution matters. They need the mechanisms that make execution possible: explicit tradeoffs, coherent operating boundaries, meaningful ownership, finite-capacity decisions, executive forums with authority, and measures that trigger action.
